聽老師上課到期中了，突然老師講了一句：

if tree falls in the forest, and no one hears it?

到底是否有其他意思？

背後是有個哲學意思的。無人觀察到，是否存在？這類哲學問題。

全句是 If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound? 「假如一棵樹在森林裡倒下而沒有人在附近聽見，它有沒有發出聲音？」

我反而想像不到老師是在什麼語境下說出這句。

這是教授在上一堆的基礎程式的觀念課之後，確定要進入整合的完成程式架構之前，突然自問自答的一句，因為天外飛來一筆，才讓我想知道是否有英文背後的諺言？

整個程式架構背後有很多基礎程式雖然觀察不到但在運作的。

不用客氣，我不是電腦人。
只是了解到說話背後的語境，才是真正學會該語文。

這應該是看東西的角度？蠻哲學的

does it make a sound 這點，根據物理，樹倒下會產生碰撞和聲音

但是and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?

就會變成沒有一個觀察者，因此，有人觀察這狀況後得到結果（sound），所以沒人在的場合可能是沒有聲音的

It briefly means that, when something happens, and there is no effect on anyone, then it is hard to say the event has ever happened or has any meaning. 沒有任何效果的事情, 是否要肯定它曾發生過?
